Life Should Be Simple and Easy - If You're Doing It Hard, You're Doing It Wrong

The book, Life Should Be Simple and Easy: If You're Doing It Hard, You're Doing It Wrong, shows us the downright, honest truths about life. In doing so, this book gives us the tools to live life in the best possible way. It is a unique self-help book, in the sense that, it does not try to change you, motivate you, inspire you, or teach you coping skills. It drills down to the basics of how we become who we are, in turn, revealing the origin of stress. The book was written in a manner that makes logical sense. It is divided into six sections meant to be read one week at a time. It provides the reader the opportunity to experience the concepts in each section, in order to fully grasp their meanings. When you truly understand the ideas in this book, it will give you a new awakening. You may find the happiness you are seeking and live a stress-free life. But it doesn't end at the book. The publisher also follows through with the readers by giving them access to the authors through hosting a website. This site provides exclusive content and a private online forum where people gather regardless of gender, race, religion, or political affiliation. It is a community of people helping people achieve the same goal - the simple and easy life.

My life is currently a sh*t-storm of stress --- elderly parents going downhill so fast it is scary – in fact, I think that my mother is dying. This seemed like a great way to cope – and it was. The book is broken into six weeks of exercises (I only have three weeks before it archives, so I am stepping up my pace!!) Here is what was presented --- Week 1: Getting Ready / Week 2: The Past Determines Today / Week 3: What is Real? /Week 4: The Higher Power / Week 5: Today Does Not Rely on the Past / Week 6: Life Should Be Simple and Easy

The fact that the book was written in parts makes it easy to go back and check on “your work” --- i.e. are you really changing? Are you really at rock bottom? Are you READY to change your life? The higher power section kind of threw me off as I am more spiritual than religious but that is just me. I am not a huge fan of self-help books (don’t get me started on that maggot Dr. Phil) but this book was good for me --- and may be for you. I didn’t have a huge number of problems going through it in the in a few days to review it before it archived but your speed is up to you, of course! (I fully intend to go through the steps week by week but wanted to get this review in place!)

It really was a help to so 4 stars is my rating as it was good, but not perfect .. which is fine as perfection is, well, not attainable in human beings!
