I received a DIGITAL Advance Reader Copy of this book from #NetGalley in exchange for an honest review. From the publisher - The world is your laboratory & it's time to make a rainbow! Bursting with color, this book takes a delightful approach to learning the colors of the rainbow and how they progress along a spectrum. Vibrant photos, charming illustrations, and lyrical text introduce readers to all the colors of the rainbow. A back matter feature shows the Crayola colors in the photos and illustrations throughout the book. This is such an enjoyable book --- I love how healthy food is shown in each colour (save indigo as it is hard to find blue "natural" food beyond blueberries) as we always teach the kids in our food programs to "eat the rainbow"!) This can lead to lots of discussions about what colours one can see in nature around them or on road trips ... I only wish that it had explained that (for example) yellow + red = orange which is part of the whole primary/secondary colour scheme ... it's never too early to have a chance to learn!
