I received an Advance Reader Copy of this book from NetGalley in exchange for an honest review. From the publisher - (edited for length) Why settle for boring store bought mittens and cold fingers, when you could knit the warmest, best fitting pair yourself? With Knit Mitts as your guide, you'll have the comprehensive information you need to create snug, warm, and practical mittens and gloves--right in the palm of your hand. Inside, knitting expert Kate Atherley offers solutions to common problem areas: stretchy cast-ons for cuffs, fixes for thumb gaps, tricks for working the tiny circumference of glove fingers. Through basic mitten and glove recipes, Kate explains how to measure a hand, assess your yarn selection and gauge, and ultimately customize patterns—including the 10 gorgeous ones inside--to make the best fitting mitts for you and your loved ones.

Every year I sit at the Salvation Army Christmas Kettle and knit. Usually scarves --- but after making approximately 1100 scarves in 10 years I am bored and need to move on.

I have ALWAYS been afraid of mittens but the author, Kate, makes it so easy!! I have already got one mitten half done and am happy to know that with this book I can make many, many more! Great book for experienced and novice knitters!
